Open a US verified PayPal account in Nigeria in the following steps:
- Head on to www.paypal.com/us, click on sign up on the PayPal business account.
- Input a fresh email address and your password.
- Tell PayPal about your business: business contact, business details, and business address. Click agree and continue.
- You will be redirected to this window: Welcome to your new PayPal account, send funds… click on send invoice.
- Describe your business: business type, product or service keyword, your monthly sales, and an optional website URL.
- Tell PayPal more about you: your SSN, date of birth and home address.
- You will be redirected to your invoice page. Click on the bell icon to see if you have further prompt action to perform.
- If none, click on the setting icon, locate the business profile section, click on money bank and cards, link a card to lift your limit.
- The end.

You should use a fresh email address that has never been registered to any US Paypal or any other country PayPal account. Also input your preferred password (remember it’s the password that you will be using on the account going forward, so please take note of it).
You should get a notepad and record every of your US PayPal registration details as you progress with the PayPal signup process.

To get the above details to open a US PayPal account in Nigeria, you will need to get pseudonyms for the entire process. However, you can retain basic identifier information about you such as your legal name.

This will almost look like the end of the process, but you still have to provide US PayPal with additional details of your account. But to pass this stage, you should click on generate an invoice and this will take you to the next step.

If you are just a freelancer without a registered business, I suggest you use the name on your freelancer’s profile. For example, for this Fiverr profile Marta_Click, you could enter Marta_click as your business name ( i think this is most useful for the third step above).
For this section, you should say your business is an individual business. Please use this option if your business is truly not registered but if it’s registered and you feel you have all the document, only then, you can try other options.
Proceed to tell them about the product or service that your business offers.
Then select the range of sales you get, I am not sure of the cycle, if it’s daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. But you can choose an option depending on the volume of sales you get from your business.
I think that will affect the additional detail they might need from you including your limit.

How to open a US PayPal account in Nigeria is quite differ from other countries PayPal, so keep tab with me, we’re almost done.
Once you’re finally allowed to create the invoice you initiated in step 4 above (kindly refer to it), you should disregard it and click on the setting icon to see if you have prompt for additional action.
